Animals are not permitted in the terminal or on apron areas at the Albany International Airport unless they are being used to assist disabled individuals, or are in proper pet carriers.
Pets that are being carried on aircraft are required to be removed from their carrying cases at the Security Checkpoint to allow for proper X-ray of the carrying case.
However, for the protection of the animal, passengers may request that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) perform a private screening.
