AIRPORT MAINTENANCE TECHNICAIN/Vehicle & Equipment Mechanic A vacancy currently exists in the Vehicle Maintenance Department for the position of Airport Maintenance Technician - Vehicle & Equipment Mechanic. Summary: Performs a wide variety of tasks involved in repair and maintenance of electric, diesel, gas, CNG powered vehicles and equipment. Duties: Duties include notifies and coordinates repairs and maintenance with lead mechanic; prepares list of items for reorder or replacement to lead mechanic; determines malfunction and plans work procedures of equipment; disassembles, overhalts and/or replaces engtines, transmissionxs, differentials; repairs to all other parts of vehicles and equipment; inspects tools and equipment; performs routine shop keeping to ensure safe workplace; attends training sessions. Skills Required: Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED; three years experience in the repair and maintenance of light trucks and diesel equipment. Must be qualified on stick and mig welding; have computer tune-up experience and knowledge of fuel injector and hydraulic systems. Must possess a valid NYS CDL, Class B license; must be able to meet and maintain Federal security requirements for unescorted access into a operations areas.
