In response to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency and the risk posed by a resurgence of COVID-19, Governor Andrew Cuomo has issued Executive Order 205, requiring the New York State Commissioner of Health Dr. Howard Zucker to issue a travel advisory requiring all travelers coming from states with significant rates of transmission of COVID-19 (hereinafter “designated states”) to quarantine for a 14-day period from the time of their last contact within such designated state(s).
This action is taken in conjunction with neighboring states of New Jersey and Connecticut, considering the significant risk posed to the health and welfare of all residents by the further spread of COVID-19 throughout the tri-state area, and to protect the progress made in New York. This guidance sets forth the policies to be followed in New York State to effectuate the Department of Health travel advisory. Click Here for NYSDOH Travel Advisory
