For generations, artists have fixed upon the geography of upstate New York to communicate the majesty and vulnerability of nature, the relationship of people to their land, and the impact of time upon life and earth. The photographers featured in this exhibition document both wild and cultivated places in the Hudson and Schoharie Valleys. There are waterfalls coursing deep within forests; there are farms that are thriving and others that are fading back in to their fields; there is the blur of trees and road and sky as the years wash over them like a wide, slow river.
