2014 Airport Development Projects
The Albany County Airport Authority authorized over $5.4 million in construction projects and improvements at Albany International Airport during 2014.
The largest project to be undertaken will be $1.4 million for the repaving and lighting rehabilitation of the Airport's main runway.
The Airport will expend $1.2 million for new heavy equipment, some of which will be used for snow removal
An additional $918 thousand will be used to replace aging terminal doors and high-speed overhead doors that serve airline bag makeup rooms.
The Airport will also install new Terminal Security Access Control equipment at a cost of $509 thousand.
