AIRPORT OPERATIONS OFFICER (Full Time)

A vacancy currently exists in the Operations Department for the position of Operations Officer.

Duties include: Performs inspections of the Air Operations Area (AOA) to ensure compliance with FAR Parts 139and CSR Part 1542.  At the direction of the supervisor, issues runway condition reports and other NOTAMS as required to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Airport.  Inspects security access equipment and doors, windows, and gates to ensure security; reports irregularities.  Assists in the coordination and supervision of construction activity on the airport. Assists in snow removal operations, aircraft salvage, and operational emergencies with airlines, tenants, operators and outside agencies.  Records data such as property damage or personal injury claims, unusual occurrences and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment for use of management staff. Assists with enforcing noise abatement regulations by receiving and logging noise compliant.  May be required to perform any other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience required: must hold a valid NYS driver’s license and must maintain current ASOS certification to perform ASOS functions; must possess a high school diploma, Associates degree preferred.  Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and meet and maintain Federal security requirements for access into all operations areas.

AIRPORT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (Full Time)

 A vacancy currently exists in the Operations Department for the position of Operations Supervisor.

DUTIES INCLUDE:  Assist the Operations Manager in the performance of operation and security functions at the Airport. Ensure the performance of daily inspections of the Air Operations Area (AOA) to ensure compliance with FAR Parts 139 and CFR Part 1542. Ensures compliance with the provisions of the Airport Certification Manual (ACM), Emergency Plan, Vehicle Access Plan, Snow Removal Plan, Airport Rules and Regulations, Security Program and other plans required to comply with FAR Part 139, CFR Part 1542 and other applicable local, State and Federal regulations. Ensures and assists in the coordination and supervision of construction activity on the airport. Enforces Airport Rules and Regulations. Coordinates and assists in snow removal operations, aircraft salvage, and operational emergencies with airlines, tenants, operators, and outside agencies. Monitors tenant and operator compliance with noise abatement procedures and other operations constraints.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises two or more non-supervisory employees in the Operations Department.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include training employee; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints resolving problems, participates in subordinate hiring, discipline, goal setting, and performance appraisals.

AIRPORT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – AIRFIELD (Full Time)

A vacancy currently exists in the Airfield Maintenance Department for the position of Airport Maintenance Technician – Airfield.

Duties include: Performs a wide variety of tasks involved in airfield and grounds maintenance.  Performs routine & non routine inspection and maintenance of airfield and airport grounds; operates heavy equipment including dump trucks, snow plows, blowers, brooms, loaders, graders, mowers, crack sealers, paint stripers, jack hammers, compressors, forklifts and pavement cutters; maintains airport grounds, runways, taxiways, and ramps; attends necessary training to operate equipment, snow removal, emergency operations and safety procedures.

Education & Experience required:  Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED and ground maintenance work or related experience; must have prior experience in the use of hand & power tools and demonstrated ability to operate a wide variety of heavy equipment.  Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license and must be able to obtain a CDL, Class B license within ninety days of employment.  Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment DOT physical, drug screening, background check and meet and maintain Federal security requirements for access into all operations areas.

AIRPORT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – TRAINING OFFICER (Full Time)

A vacancy currently exists in the Airfield Maintenance Department for the position of Airport Maintenance Technician – Training Officer.

Duties include: Performs a wide variety of tasks involved in airfield training, safety and inspection with a minimum of supervision on a daily basis. Trains Airport personnel on all equipment utilized on  and around the airport; responsible for accident investigations and reports; issues safety equipment; inspects all airport and airline equipment for regulatory compliance; routinely conducts safety inspections of equipment; conducts training sessions, teaching skills to operate all types of equipment, snow removal, emergency operations and safety procedures.

Education & Experience required Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED; ground maintenance experience preferred; prior experience in the use of hand & power tools and operation of wide variety of heavy equipment.  Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license and must obtain a CDL, Class B license with 90 days of employment.  Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment DOT physical, drug screening, background check and meet and maintain Federal security requirements for access into all operations areas.

CUSTODIAL WORKER (Full Time)  

A vacancy currently exists in the Custodial Department for the entry level position of custodial worker.

Duties include:  Keeps designated facilities in clean and orderly condition.  Basic cleaning duties including, but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping surfaces found in offices, breakrooms, hallways, bathrooms and public areas; operate floor cleaners, vacuums and other cleaning machines; empty trash.
